Ceramic Lamp Project
Functional Art: Aesthetic objects that serve utilitarian purposes
-
For this project you will be making a ceramic base for a functional lamp.
-
It is your choice what you want your base to be and look like. Try to challenge yourself
Requirements
-
Ceramic base must stand on its own
-
-
Ceramic base must be able to support the weight of the lamp fixture and lamp shade of your choosing
-
-
You need to leave a hole at the top and side for lamp and wiring

Place ribbed piece and bolt into the main hole. Wire cord though exit hole

Wire cord though the main hole and separate wires slightly.

Add optional lamp shade piece. Screw on decorative piece. Add extra ribbed piece if needed.

Screw base of the light bulb piece to the ribbed piece.

Remove cardboard piece slightly to reveal screws. Loosen both screws but do not remove.

Curve the wires on the end on the cord around each screw. Tighten the screws on the wires.

Cover the screws and wiring up competently with the cardboard piece.

Slip the medal piece back on.

Snap two pieces together. Test to see if you did everything correctly.
